THE AUTHOR

One person. One name. One signal.

Mathematics, theory, music — the same architecture in three keys.

Recording, writing, and proving in Budapest.

Bálint Kolláth · Budapest · 47.4979° N · 19.0402° E

álint Kolláth is a Budapest-based quantitative trader, mathematician, and independent researcher with roughly thirty years of experience in algorithmic systems. His work moves across three domains that, from inside the work, are one domain: pure mathematics, semantic theory, and structural electronic music.

The Substration Imprint Programme is the musical wing of that single body of work. The five facets are not a side project. They are the same architecture — aperiodic substrates, single-parameter governance, zero free inputs — that runs through the Budapest Programme in number theory and the Kolláth MetaPrism Theory in semantic dynamics. Each facet of the imprint is a proof working itself out in audible form.

He records, writes, and proves alone. The work has no band, no co-signers, no committee. It has a method, a lineage, and a discipline.

The Three Bodies of Work

Mathematics. Theory. Music. Three keys, one architecture.

THE BUDAPEST PROGRAMME

(mathematics)

A long programme in analytic and additive number theory: aperiodic tilings, Pisot substitutions, prime-seeded constructions, and the conjecture that the Goldbach barrier reduces to a binary descent.

DOMAINnumber theory·METHODaperiodic substrate·OUTPUTpapers, code·STATUSactive

The mathematical wing of the work. Centred on the Greedy Prime-Prefix Decomposition, the Pascal–Prime Pyramid, the Orbit Forests, and a sustained programme aimed at reducing the 55-conjecture to known additive-combinatorial barriers. Papers are released as preprints under the Budapest Programme imprint.

THE KOLLÁTH METAPRISM THEORY

(semantic dynamics & general semantics)

An eight-dimensional theory of meaning-making in language and cognition, in the lineage of Korzybski's general semantics and Rapoport's operational philosophy. The prism is the operator that splits white light into named dimensions.

DOMAINsemantics·METHODeight-dimensional W-matrix·OUTPUTpapers, books·STATUSactive

The theoretical wing of the work. The MetaPrism is a coupled-network model of how meaning compresses and refracts across eight high-level dimensions: Affect, Abstraction, Personality, Relation, Moral, Motivation, Value, Narrative. Companion frameworks include the Solstice Calendar Series, the 13-sign Solstice Zodiac, and the seven-paper Verification Primacy Series on the Millennium Problems.

SUB

SUBSTRATION

(the imprint programme)

A five-facet structural-music treatise where each track is grown from a single algebraic constant. The musical wing of the same architecture: the substrate, made audible.

DOMAINstructural electronic music·METHODaperiodic substrate·OUTPUTfive facets·STATUScomplete

The work in your ears right now. Five facets — Substrate, Plastic Cast, Plush, Wrong Fire, Prism — each one derived without free parameters from a named algebraic constant. The Programme page lays out the full architecture; the Works page hangs the five plates in order. This is the public face of the imprint.

Method

All three bodies of work are composed under the same three rules.

Radical compression. Reduce the system to its single governing parameter. A trading strategy with one threshold. A theorem with one inflation factor. A track grown from one algebraic constant. The single parameter is harder to choose; the system that follows from it is easier to defend.

Zero free inputs. Wherever a parameter could be tuned by taste, derive it from the substrate instead. The five musical facets choose nothing — tempo, key, phrase length, palette all fall out of the algebra. The mathematics chooses nothing — every threshold, every weight, every cut-off originates in the same substrate it measures.

Honest accounting. What is proved is marked proved. What is conjectured is marked conjectured. What is empirical is marked empirical. Nothing is dressed in a register it has not earned. This is the Korzybski floor and the Rapoport floor at once: the map kept honest, and the rule kept simple.

Lineage

INTELLECTUAL

Alfred Korzybski. Anatol Rapoport. Gregory Bateson. Map and territory. Structural differential. Operational philosophy. One rule, applied with cleanness.

MATHEMATICAL

Hat tile. Penrose. Padovan. Cut-and-project. Pisot substitutions. Greedy decomposition. Prime-seeded constructions and the 55-conjecture.

MUSICAL

Donato Dozzy. Vril. Jon Hopkins. Nils Frahm. Frankie Knuckles. Larry Heard. Burial. The lineage that builds rooms instead of drops.

OPERATIONAL

Quantitative trading. Algorithmic infrastructure. Financial software. Three decades of systems that have had to survive contact with the market.

The map was not the territory.

The map was the territory learning its own name.
